The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 7(1) & 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998 in Crime No.102 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with another accused sold the banned lottery tickets. Hence the case

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against him for statistical purpose. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

nti/nr further submit that there are four previous cases are pending as against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent Police and perused the entire materials available on record.

6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 1.
