..Respondent(s) PRAYER: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 4th and 5th Respondents to rectify the Service Register by taking into account the petitioners daily wage service from 01.09.1989 and grant consequential service,

monetary and pensionary benefits in accordance with G.O. Ms. No.125 dated 27.05.1999 as per the petitioners representation dated 23.02.2026 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The writ petition is filed for the relief set out below: "directing the 4th and 5th Respondents to rectify the Service Register by taking into account the petitioners daily wage service from 01.09.1989 and grant consequential service, monetary and pensionary benefits in accordance with G.O. Ms. No.125 dated 27.05.1999 as per the petitioners representation dated 23.02.2026 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court."

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he joined as Daily Wage Worker on 01.09.1989 and later, got promoted as Office Assistant only on 02.07.2008 with a delay of four years. It is the contention of the petitioner that the respondents had failed to recognise his prior daily wage service and denied him the benefits of the G.O.Ms.No.125 dated 27.05.1999.

3. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner made a representation dated

23.02.2026 seeking rectification and grant all consequential benefits since his retirement was on 31.05.2026, for which, there is no response till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2026, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
