2.In view of the fact that the acquisition proceedings are proposed to be dropped, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petitions. If at all any contra opinion is taken by the respondents in future, the petitioners are at liberty to reopen the writ petition by filing a formal miscellaneous petition.

3.With this liberty, the writ petitions are closed. No costs.
