For Petitioner : Mr.Raghavachari For Respondent : Mr.P.Srinivas
O R D E R
Heard Mr.Raghavachari, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Srinivas, learned counsel for the respondent.
2.
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to effect water pipe connection to his premises.
3.
The case of the petitioner is that, he submitted an application to the respondent, to provide drinking water connection to his premises. The respondent accepted the said application and directed the petitioner to deposit a sum of Rs.3,000/- for the purpose of providing water connection. As per the said direction, the petitioner has made full deposit, despite the same, no steps has been taken by the respondent to provide drinking water connection to his premises. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to approach this Court, by way of filing this Writ Petition, seeking for the aforesaid relief. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.
Today, when the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, both the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondent are unable to report before this Court as to what is the status of the application submitted by the petitioner, and, whether water connection is provided to the petitioner's premise or not. Thus, this Court, by efflux of time, is not inclined to grant the relief, sought for by the petitioner, in this Writ Petition. However, if the application submitted by the petitioner is still pending before the respondent for consideration, and if the grievance of the petitioner still subsists, liberty is granted to the petitioner to pursue his application, or to initiate appropriate action against the respondent to provide water connection.
5.
With the above observation, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
