..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and take appropriate action on the representation of the petitioner made to the respondents 2 to 4 dated 21.07.2015 and direct them to implement the G.O.No.188 Personal and Administrative Reforms (Personnel-P) Department dated 28.12.1976 and consider the petitioner's case for appointment for the post of Pharmacists in the State of Tamil Nadu under BR/CR Category in priority sector. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2 The petitioner claims to be a repatriate from Sri Lanka and she has passed in Diploma in Pharmacy and she was issued with a Certificate to the effect by the Director of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu, vide ODC Serial No.0319 dated 24.01.2001 and according to her, she is entitled to the benefit of G.O.ms.No.188, Personnel and Administrative Reforms [Personnel-P] Department dated 28.12.1976,
which among other things, provides for priority in respect of Indian Nationals retiring from Burma/Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania due to repatriation and since the petitioner claims that she is a repatriate from Sri Lanka, she is entitled to the benefit of the said Government Order and accordingly, submitted a representation dated 21.07.2015 to the 2nd respondent and though it was received and acknowledged, she is yet to be favoured with any kind of response and hence, she came forward to file this writ petition.
3 Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4 Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, t his Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 21.07.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 5 The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
