Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 28.02.2026 submitted by the detenue and consequently grant 60 days furlough, without escort, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No. 82 dt. 14.02.2026, to the detenue, Robin @ Robbinson, S/o.Samuel Johan, aged about 60 years, PID No. 4657, presently confined at Central Prison, Puzhal -I within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) The prayer in this writ petition is for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner seeking 60 days furlough of her son Robin @ Robbinson, who is a convict prisoner lodged in Central Prison, Puzhal-I.

2. Mr.Muniyapparaj, on instructions, would submit that 28 days ordinary leave was granted by the prison authorities under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules and that the petitioner's representation seeking furlough would be considered independently within a period of three weeks from today.
