ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. The petitioner and the respondent are husband and wife. The petitioner/husband seeks expeditious disposal of O.P.No.162 of 2024 which is filed by him for dissolution of marriage with the respondent on the ground of desertion.

3. By an order dated 19.06.2025, I had requested the Subordinate Judge, Tiruvottiyur to indicate the outer time limit for disposal of O.P.No.162 of 2024 on merits.

In compliance with the said order, the learned Subordinate Judge, Tiruvottiyur has forwarded a report to the Registry of this Court in Dis.No.339/2025 dated 30.06.2025, stating that a counter was filed by the respondent/wife only on 09.04.2025. Subsequently, on 12.06.2025, a Memo has been filed seeking joint enquiry in the HMOP No.162 of 2024 along with H.M.O.P.No.235 of 2023 filed by the wife. It is also mentioned in the report that the petitioner / husband was examined as P.W.1 and documents have been marked and it is posted for cross examination of P.W.1.
5. In the light of the above, the learned Subordinate Judge, Tiruvottiyur, is directed to dispose of both H.M.O.P.No.235 of 2023 as well as HMOP No.162 of 2024 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
