Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent to save,secure and give a copy of the CC TV Camera Footage recordings made in the CC TV Cameras installed in the Respondent Hospital from 01.00 a.m. to 10.00 pm on 07.09.2015 to the petitioner. By consent, this Writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondent.

3. The petitioner has sought for certain information from the respondent under the Right to Information Act by a representation dated 18.09.2015, with respect to the CC TV camera maintained by the respondent, which was followed by another representation dated 23.09.2015. On the non consideration the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the information with respect to CC TV would come under the purview of the Right to Information Act. Despite the fact that the petitioner has made a request only under the said act by way of representation dated 18.09.2015 followed by representation dated 23.09.2015 no action is forthcoming and if the CC TV is destroyed the valuable rights of the petitioner would be affected.

5. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, considering the pendency of the representation made by the petitioner a direction is issued to the respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.09.2015, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
