[RESPONDENT] Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondent herein to receive the Application Form CCPA dated 03.06.2016 with prescribed fees and grant the Maxi Cab Permit in respect of the vehicle Reg.No.TN-22-BM-4065 forthwith.

Heard Mr.A.Ganesan, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Lakshmi Nayaranan, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepting notice on behalf of the respondent and with the consent of learned counsel appearing on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent herein to receive the Application Form CCPA dated 03.06.2016 with prescribed fees and grant the Maxi Cab Permit in respect of the vehicle Reg.No.TN-22-BM-4065 forthwith. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though in similar type of vehicle throughout the State of Tamil Nadu, the Transport Authority has granted a number of permits and the owners of the vehicles have operated the same https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

till date, the respondent refused to receive the application with prescribed fee.

4.In any event, as the petitioner's Application has not been received by the respondent, without going into the merits of the case as projected by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the respondent to receive the petitioner's Application, consider the same and pass order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date on which the Application is presented, along with the copy of this order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
