Respondents --- PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to place the status report of the condition of the Arignar Anna Government Siddha Hospital, Arumbakkam, Chennai-600 106, i.e. photographs of said hospital, the man-power available and the hygiene aspects, which are being looked into, before this Honourable Court.

O R D E R

(Made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) The report submitted by the Principal Secretary/Commissioner, Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy Department has been perused, which shows that at last attention is being given to the issue of hygiene in the hospital. The only regret which we have is that it required the present proceedings to wake up the authorities to take necessary steps.

2. No further orders are required, except that the hygiene conditions should be maintained and the surrounding area also properly attended to.
