ORDER

The petition is filed seeking for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent 2 and 3 to grant police protection to unlock the petitioner premises as per the direction given by the 1st respondent dated 12.04.2023 vide e.f.vz;.430/M2/2023.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had given a representation to the 1st respondent against his sons who have illegally locked the premises of the petitioner and he has sought adequate police protection to unlock the same. He further submitted that the 1st respondent, on considering the representation of the petitioner, had directed the respondents 2 and 3 to give adequate police protection to unlock the house belonging to the petitioner. However, the respondents 2 and 3 have not given any police protection as directed by the 1st respondent viz. The District Protection Officer, Collectorate, Tiruvallur District. Hence the above petition.

3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that in view of the orders passed by the 1st respondent, the respondent police would be giving adequate police protection to the petitioner as requested by him to unlock his house. 4.Recording the above submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and also considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents 2 and 3 to comply with the order passed by the 1st respondent dated 12.04.2023 and to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner to unlock his house.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
