Prayer:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the dispose of the representation dated 08.02.2013 of the petitioner by appointing his as Bill Collector/Junior Assistant on compassionate grounds instead of Record Clerk.

O R D E R

The petitioner was earlier appointed as Record Clerk on compassionate grounds pursuant to the death of his mother. Now the petitioner has sought for appointment as a Bill Collector/Junior Assistant instead of Record Clerk. To that effect the petitioner gave a representation to the respondent on 08.02.2013. Since no action has been taken on his representation, the present writ petition is filed by the petitioner.

2. Pending the writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner would bring to my notice that the second respondent had already recommended to the first respondent about the candidature of the petitioner for appointment to the post of Bill Collector/Junior Assistant, in accordance with G.O.Ms. No. 206 dated 02.11.1995.

3. In view of the positive steps taken by the second respondent, it would be appropriate to give a direction to the first respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner as made in his representation dated 08.02.2013, in the light of the recommendation of the second respondent and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. With the above observation the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
