The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the first respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.01.2024 to restore the petitioner's original seniority with effect from 02.09.1996 and his subsequent promotion as Assistant Section Officer with effect from 09.07.2004 and on that basis make further orders with regard to the promotion as the Section Officer and Assistant Registrar.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that has given a representation dated 18.01.2024 for restoring his original seniority with effect from 02.09.1996 and his subsequent promotion as Assistant Section Officer with effect from 09.07.2004, and such representation is yet to be considered by the first respondent.

3. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the said representation of the petitioner within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the submission made by the Government Advocate, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.01.2024, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
