O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for extension of time to comply with the conditions stipulated in order dated 21.03.2024 passed in Crl.M.P.No. 1576 of 2024 in Crl.Appeal No. 63 of 2024 on the file of Principal District and Sessions Court, Tiruvallur, which reads as follows :- "Considering the above said aspects, this Court is inclined to suspend the sentence of imprisonment imposed by the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Tract Court at Magisterial Level, Poonamallee in S.T.C.No. 1186 of 2020 dated 20.02.2024 alone till the disposal of Criminal Appeal No.63 of 2024. The petitioner/appellant and accused is directed to deposit 20% of the compensation amount before the trial court to the credit of STC.No.1186 of 2020 within the period of sixty days. In default of deposit of the compensation amount, the order passed will stand cancelled automatically. Call on 03.06.2024."

2. Heard the learned counsel for petitioners and perused the materials available on record.

Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the petition, the time for depositing 20% of compensation amount before the trial Court is extended by another period of thirty days from today, failing which the respondent is permitted to set the law in motion pursuant to order dated 20.02.2024 passed in STC No.1186 of 2020 of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Tract Court, Poonamallee.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
