ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. The petitioner, while working as Village Administrative Officer at Navinpatti village and also holding additional charge of E.Malampatti village, was placed under suspension by the 2nd respondent, vide order dated 18.05.2015 on the ground that though specific dates have been mentioned for production of the village accounts for Jamabandhi and the jurisdictional Tahsildar has also instructed the petitioner to do so, the petitioner did not produce the said accounts and consequently, the accounts could not be settled and the land revenue for the respective village for Fasli 1424 could not be arrived at.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner did produced the village accounts as sought for by the Tahsildar, Melur and without correctly appreciating the factual https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

aspect, the 2nd respondent, on an erroneous assumption, has placed the petitioner under suspension vide impugned order dated 18.05.2015 and the petitioner was also subsequently issued with a charge memo dated 27.05.2015 and in the light of the subsequent development, there is no need to continue the said order of suspension and prays for appropriate orders.

Heard Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

This Court, taking into consideration, the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the sme, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
