2.

The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Jeep Driver in the respondent Panchayat Union on daily wages on 01.03.2010. On 19.05.2015, a post of Jeep Driver fell vacant in the respondent Panchayat Union. The respondent called for the list of candidates from the District Employment Exchange, Nagapattinam. On receipt of the applications from the candidates, call letters were sent to seven candidates for attending the interview on 22.06.2015.

The petitioner would further submit that out of seven, only two candidates attended the interview and it was found by the Regional Transport Officer, Myladuthurai that they are not eligible for the post of Jeep Driver.
