ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. The petitioner while working as Forester, was visited with disciplinary proceedings in the form of Charge Memo dated 26.08.2015 under Rule 17[b] of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services [Discipline and Appeal] Rules.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would vehemently contend that without looking into the records and appreciating the relevant materials, the charge memo with false allegations has been issued against the petitioner and prays for interference. Per contra, Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Government Advocate [Forests] who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the points urged by the learned counsel for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner revolve upon the adjudication of factual aspects and it can be gone into only by the Enquiry Officer/Disciplinary Authority and prays for dismissal of this writ petition. This Court considered the rival submissions made on either side and perused the materials placed before it. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected either by the petitioner or by the respondents, directs the 2nd respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner and pass final orders as expeditiously as possible, not latter than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

It is needless to state that the petitioner has to extend his maximum cooperation for the early completion of the departmental proceedings. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
