Respondent Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records made in Na.Ka.No.A8/1970/2014 passed by the respondent herein and quash the same as illegal and direct the respondent to permit the petitioner to signatory power of cheques in the Vaiyankudi Panchayat to secure the ends of justice.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner is an elected Vice President of a Village Panchayat and her grievance is against the impugned order by which her cheque signing power as a co-signatory to the panchayat cheques has been withheld. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation and since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.However, it is seen from the typed set of papers that the petitioner has submitted a representation on 02.02.2015 and the same has been sent by speed post on the same date. re-examine the issue as to whether the cheque signing power has to be restored, there will be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law after notice to all concerned within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to enclose a copy of the representation along with the copy of this order and forward the same to the 1st respondent. 4.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
