ORDER
Challenging the order passed in IA No.1 of 2022 in HMOP No.496/2021 dated 16.03.2023 on the file of the VII Additional Family Court, Chennai.
2. Before the trial court, the respondent filed an application under Section 24 of Hindu Marriage Act, seeking interim maintenance of Rs.50,000/- per month till the disposal of O.P No.496 of 2021. The court below considering the averments and the counter filed by the petitioner, granted interim maintenance for a sum of Rs.35,000/- per month against which the present civil revision petition is filed.
3. The learned counsel for the revision petitioner submits that the petitioner is not owning any gym but the court below erroneously considered that he is the owner of the gym. He further submits that he wants to look after his old mother. The respondent within few months of marriage had filed an application for divorce.
4. The learned counsel for the respondent submits that there is no possibility of reunion.
5. Considering the above submissions, there is no possibility of reunion as per the submissions made by the respondent / wife. Therefore, both the parties are directed to conduct the case before the trial court and till the conclusion of the divorce proceedings, the revision petitioner is also directed to pay Rs.20,000/- per month as interim maintenance to the respondent on or before 5th
of every English Calendar month, any deviation his defence will be struck off.
6. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Civil Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 26-03-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order MTL
