O R D E R
The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to file the final report/ charge sheet in FIR in Crime No.110 of 2014 dated 17.05.2014 on the file of the second respondent within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint as against one (*) Chockkalingam and Valarmathi alleging that they have trespassed in to the house of the petitioner with deadly weapons like Aruval and wooden log and attacked the petitioner and his son and caused injuries. Based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered by the second respondent in Crime No.110 of 2014 under sections 294(b) and 324 IPC. Though the case has been registered in the year 2014, till date, there is no progress in the investigation of this case. 3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor as well as the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.110 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.
The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
