ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to laid the charge sheet in Crime No.355 of 2013 and file a Final Report before the competent Court of law by fixing time limit.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he lodged a complaint with the respondent police as against one Socrates, the Managing Director of Eften Engineering Private Limited, on the allegation of cheating and the same was registered in Crime No.355 of 2013 for the alleged offences under Sections 403, 406 and 420 I.P.C. Though the said complaint was registered on 11.5.2013, till date, no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present petition.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in spite of the repeated request, he has not received any instructions from the respondent police.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.355 of 2013 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
