O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Cr.No.1388/2012 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that one Ravichandran lodged a complaint before the respondent police against the petitioners and 8 others for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 147, 323, 379, 506(i) IPC and the same was registered in Crime No.1388 of 2012 on 14.11.2012. But, till date no action was taken. Hence, the petitioners have come up with the present petition.

3.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent-police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.1388 of 2012 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
