O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to register FIR on the petitioner's complaint dated 17.12.2015 and complete the investigation within the time stipulated by this Court in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint against her husband, mother in law and father in law on the allegation of cruelty and dowry harassment. It is also alleged in the complaint that her certificates relating to her education, jewels and other cloth materials were retained by her husband and he is refusing to hand over the same to her. Hence, she lodged a complaint against her husbabnd and in-laws on 17.12.2015, but till date, no action was taken by the respondent police. Hence this petition.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the complaint was lodged as early as on 17.12.2015 and the same has been assigned in C.S.R.No.338 of 2015, no action was taken so far.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint given by the petitioner was assigned in C.S.R.No.338 of 2015 and the same is pending enquiry.

5. From the facts and circumstances of the case, I find that the complaint lodged by the petitioner has been assigned CSR Number as C.S.R.No.338 of 2015. Hence, irrespective of the submissions made on both sides, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry in C.S.R.No.338 of 2015 and proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.

6. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
