..Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to modify the order passed in Crl.M.P.no.2670/2021 dated 25.06.2021 in regarding with condition the deposit Rs.1,00,000/- to the credit of Crime No.478/2021 of R.K.pet Police Station before the said Magistrate imposed by the Honble Principal District and Session Judge at Thiruvallur.

O R D E R

This Petition has been filed to modify the condition imposed by the Trial Court in Crl.M.P.No.2670/2021.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was implicated for the offence under Section 328 IPC and Sections 24(I) COTP Act. The Trial Court, while granting anticipatory bail, directed the petitioner to deposit Rs.1 lakh to the credit of Cr.No.478 of 2021. Challenging the said condition, the present petition is filed.

3. The learned counsel further submitted that due to COVID-19 situation, the petitioner has not been able to mobilise the funds. However, the petitioner, on his own volition, is ready and willing to contribute a sum of Rs.50,000/- for the purpose of improving and maintaining the Government Schools.

4. In view of the genuine request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to modify the condition and the petitioner is directed to make a non-refundable deposit of

Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Thousand only) to the credit of the Chief Educational Officer, Thiruvallur District, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, for the rehabilitation and improvement of the basic needs of the Government Schools in the said District under necessary acknowledgement.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is modified with the above terms.
