O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Record Clerk or Forest Watcher or any other suitable post in the Forest Department/4th Respondent Division on compassionate ground. 2.Mr.M.R.Jothimanian, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's father viz., Mr.K.M.Ramachandran was appointed as plot watcher on 01.02.1983 in the respondent department and subsequently, he, got promoted as Forest Watcher and his service was regularised. While in service, due to sudden illness, the petitioner's father died on 29.04.2012. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 13.07.2012, seeking appointment on compassionate ground.
Pursuant to the representation, the 4th respondent has recommended to the 3rd respondent for petitioner's appointment as Record Clerk on 18.02.2013 vide Na.Ka.No.2533/2012/Pa2. Subsequently, the 3rd respondent has recommended to the 2nd respondent on 15.12.2014 vide Na.Ka.No.5381/2014 Po3. Since the respondents have not taken any step on his representation, again he has made another representation on 12.06.2015. As the same was also went in vein, he made another representation on 22.01.2017 to the respondents 1 and 2.
3.The learned Special Government Pleader sought for four weeks time to consider the case of the petitioner for granting compassionate appointment.
4.In view of the above stated facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation in the light of the recommendations made by the 3rd respondent on 15.12.2014 vide Na.Ka.No.5381/2014 Po3, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
