This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent to initiate appropriate action on the complaint dated 30.01.2020 given by the petitioner against one Gangadharan and others.

2. Heard Mr.S.Balaji, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3. Today when the petition came up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police on instructions would submit that in respect of the complaint dated 30.01.2020 given by the petitioner, the respondent police herein initiated an enquiry in CSR No.22 of 2020 and the same has been closed by observing that the dispute between the petitioner and one Gangadharan is civil in nature. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition becomes infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the jurisdiction Magistrate by filing a complaint under section 156(3) Cr.P.C.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
