It is the case where the complaint and the counter complaint in connection with the same transaction were received by the same Police, but only the complaint against the petitioner is registered in Crime No.472 of 2022 dated 28.07.2022.

2. In the light of the Police Standing Order 566 and the Full Bench Judgment, the respondent Police is directed to follow the guidelines issued by the Full Bench of this Court in Balaji Vs. State of Tamil Nadu, and proceed in accordance with law.

3. The complaint given by the petitioner shall be taken for investigation and after ascertaining the aggressor, final report has to be filed.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
