This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned District and Sessions Judge, The Nilgiris District, to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of his surrender in Crime No.41 of 2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 1 and 2.

3. Considering the submissions and upon perusal of the materials available on record, it is seen that both the petitioner and the defacto complainant are neighbors and there exists a dispute between them with regard to the placement of a name board.

4. In view of the above, there shall be direction to the learned District and Sessions Judge, The Nilgiris District, to consider the bail application of the petitioner, preferably on the same day of his surrender, in connection with Crime No.41 of 2026.
