The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b) (ii)(B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotrophic Substance Act 1985 in Crime No.192 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 1.300gms of ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the the petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 1.300gms of ganja. Hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by both counsel, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 23.06.2022 Vv 2/3
