Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to grant Patta in his favour. It is stated that the petitioner has already made a representation as early as in the year 2016 and in pursuant to such request, an enquiry was also conducted and thereafter, no order is passed so far. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner has made a recent representation on 05.02.2018.

3. Though this Court, is not inclined to issue any positive order, directing the third respondent to consider the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation of the petitioner dated 05.02.2018, in view of the fact that the very representation was made just a week before, however, as it is stated that the petitioner has made a representation earlier on 31.03.2016, it is for the third respondent to consider the said representation dated 31.03.2016, if any pending, and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
