This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members as per the representation dated 08.08.2013 and pass final report in the above complaint.

2. It is seen that a bailable warrant is pending against the petitioner in S.T.C.No.86 of 2012 before the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Dharmapuri, in a case arising under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. It is the grievance of the petitioner that, when he wanted to recall the warrant, one K.Ravi, who is the complainant, is preventing the petitioner from surrendering before the Magistrate. Hence, this petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking police protection.

3. In the opinion of this Court, individual police protection cannot be granted in every case. It is open to the petitioner to go with an advocate and surrender before the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

concerned Court. If anyone obstructs the petitioner and his advocate, they may approach the local police, who shall look into the grievance and take action in accordance with law.
