ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to register the document of the petitioner dated 15.03.2022 (Power of Attorney) with regard to his property in S.No.298/39, of an extent of 690 Sq.Mt., situated at Nemmeli Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpet District forthwith.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the above said property in Nemmeli Village and it is classified as Natham land by the Revenue Authorities. In order to construct a house in the said land, the petitioner executed a Power of Attorney in favour of one Mohammed Ashwar. Thereafter, the petitioner presented the said document for registration before the respondent on 15.03.2022, but the respondent refused to register the same, which led the petitioner to file the present writ petition seeking the aforesaid relief.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised in this Writ Petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court 2/5
issues direction to the respondent to register the document which was presented by the petitioner on 15.03.2022 and pass orders on merits within a particular time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent submitted that petitioner's document will be entertained and appropriate order will be passed, if it is otherwise in order.
5. Heard the arguments advanced on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
6. Considering the fair submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court directs the respondent to entertain the document presented by the petitioner dated 15.03.2022, if it is otherwise in order and pass appropriate orders after affording opportunity to the petitioner as well as aggrieved persons if any within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
7. With the above observations and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
