O R D E R
The grievance set out in this writ petition is that the writ petitioners were engaged to perform the duties and responsibilities attached with the ration shops, Public Distribution System and they are working continuously. In order to redress their grievance regarding the permanent absorption, the petitioners made a representation to the respondents on 2nd June, 2017.
2.This Court is of the view that permanent absorption or appointment can never be claimed as a matter of right. However, the writ petitioners have served for a considerable length of time and some similarly placed persons were considered for absorption. Without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioners on 2nd June, 2017 and pass order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. However, there is no order as to costs. Sd/- Asst.Registrar (CS III ) /true copy/ Sub Asst. Registrar abr To 1.The Secretary to Government, Co-op., Food & Consumer Protection Department, Fort St. George, Chennai 600 009.
