ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2019 in accordance with law within time frame.
2. The case of the petitioner is that his mother Mrs.Susila, was working as a Elementary School Teacher and she died while in service on 13.03.2018 after serving for nearly 30 years. According to the petitioner, he is the only surviving legal heir to his mother since his father has deserted his mother long ago and is living with another lady. The petitioner appears to have given a representation dated 02.05.2019 to the third respondent seeking terminal benefits payable to his deceased mother. the said representation has not been disposed of by the third respondent till date. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court seeking for issuance of writ of mandamus.
3. Mr.S.Kannan, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that that a direction may be issued to the third respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2019, within a time to be stipulated by this Court.
4. Mr.K.Karthikeyan, the learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 has no objection to issue a direction to the third respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2019.
5. In view of the limited prayer sought for and also the submissions made on behalf of the parties, the third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2019 and pass orders in accordance with law and on merits, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
