CMP No.2177 of 2016 in WA SR 9987 of 2016 The Hon`ble Mr Justice SATISH K. AGNIHOTRI and The Hon`ble Mr Justice M. VENUGOPAL This petition is to condone the delay of 713 days in filing the writ appeal. we have examined the affidavit in the application for condonation of delay. Though the reasons assigned in the affidavit are not satisfactory, however, regard being had to the question of law involved herein, we are inclined to condone the delay subject to payment of costs. Accordingly, the delay of 713 days in preferring the writ appeal is condoned, subject to payment of Rs.7,000/- as costs to Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court, Madras, within a period of two weeks. It is made clear that the said amount shall be recovered from the officials, who are responsible for causing the delay. In the event of any failure on the part of the petitioners in making the payment of costs within the stipulated time, this miscellaneous petition shall stand dismissed automatically without further reference to this Court.
