Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2017 to enhance the compensation amount by re-determine the market value of the entire extent of 147 square meters land in survey No.14/3A1B2 of No.22, Pattabiramapuram Village of Tiruttani Taluk of Tiruvallur District acquired from the petitioner from Rs.2259.60 to Rs.8815.72 per square meter.

ORDER

Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. Though the writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus directing the 1st respondent/District Collector, Tiruvallur District, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.04.2017, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents drew the attention of this Court to the Arbitration Proceedings which had been initiated by the 1st respondent/District Collector, Tiruvallur with respect to the compensation granted.

3. Since the proceedings are pending, it may not be proper on my part to examine the aspect in detail, but rather, I would modify and issue a mandamus to the 1st respondent/District Collector, Tiruvallur District, to proceed further with the Arbitration and dispose of the same within a period of twenty weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
