Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to disburse the Statutory entitlement namely 30 % solatium with interest till the day of payment, in the light of judgement of Honble Supreme Court of India in the matter of Union of India and Another Vs Tarsem Singh and others , in Civil Appeal No. 7064 of 2019 by considering petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2026 within time framed manner.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 02.02.2026. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioners have given a representation dated 02.02.2026 to disburse the statutory entitlement namely 30% solatium with interest till the day of payment, in the light of the judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the matter of Union of India and another Vs Tarsem Singh and others, in Civil Appeal No.7064 of 2019. Since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition is filed.

3. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the official respondents would submit that the petitioners' representation dated 02.02.2026 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of twelve weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the respondents.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 02.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders in the light of the judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the matter of Union of India and another Vs Tarsem Singh and others, in Civil Appeal No.7064 of 2019, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
