Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take preventive action against the 4th respondent preventing him from creating law and order problem during the period of performing Arulmighu Alarmel Manga Sametha Sri Ananda Venkatesa Perumal Koil, Noothana Alaya Samprokshana Maha Kumbabishekam at No.R10, 4th Main Road, T.N.H.B., Aypakkam, Chennai-77, going to conduct on 10.07.2016.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against the fourth respondent, thereby preventing him from creating law and order problem during the Kumbabishekam, scheduled to be held at Arulmighu Alarmel Manga Sametha Sri Ananda Venkatesa Perumal Koil, on 10.07.2016.

2. Heard Dr.G.Krishnamurthy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and M/s.Sai Bharath & Ilan appearing for the fourth respondent.

3. Today, Mr.T.Rajesh Kumar, Inspector of Police, T10, Thirumullaivoyal Police Station (Law & Order) (Mobile No.9600050590) is present.

4. During the pendency of the Writ Petition, it appears that a peace committee meeting was held by the Tahsildar on 24.06.2016, in the presence of the Inspector of Police, Thirumullaivoyal Police Station, in which both the factions (petitioner group and the fourth respondent group) participated and they have resolved to amicably conduct the Kumbabishekam on 10.07.2016. They have also agreed to certain other terms, which have been recorded in the proceedings of the Tahsildar.

5. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is closed with a direction to both the parties to abide by the terms of the arrangement that has been arrived at on 24.06.2016 and further disputes between the parties can be resolved after the Kumbabishekam, scheduled to be held on 10.07.2016, in a manner known to law. Accordingly, the interim order dated 15.06.2016 granted by this Court stands vacated. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed. Sd/- Asst. Registrar.
