O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the Writ Petition is to direct the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2019 seeking employment under the disability category.

2.The case of the petitioner is that she was a widow affected with 50% Locomotor Disability and was survived by two minor sons. Her husband died on 05.11.2007 while he was working in a Factory at Pallavaram. The petitioner possessed 8th standard qualification and had registered her employment details based on her educational qualification in the second respondent. Further, she submitted a petition to the first respondent dated 11.02.2019 requesting for an employment under the disability category. The District Collector/first respondent herein replied

by the letter dated 15.02.2019 stating that the posts were filled up only based on the educational qualification, age, seniority and hence, the representation of the petitioner cannot be considered. Further as per G.O.Ms.No.44, all the postings were filled up after due publications in the newspapers and through employment exchange. While being so, the request of the petitioner for appointment to any of the department cannot be considered and the representation of the petitioner was rejected. Hence, the petitioner filed the Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would concede the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2019 and forward the name of the petitioner, if the petitioner reached the seniority.

6.With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
