ORDER

The petitioner is serving as a Driver in the office of the Assistant Director of Rural Development (Audit), Collectorate, Salem. Since he was initially appointed as Office Assistant in the year 1991 and got promotion as Driver on 10.7.96, on completion of ten years of service in the post of Driver, he was awarded the benefit of Selection Grade scale of pay with effect from 10.7.2006. Again on completion of 20 years of service, it is pleaded that the petitioner should be given the benefit of Special Grade scale of pay, which he has completed on 10.7.2016 in the post of Driver, for which he has also given a representation to the District Collector, Salem on 1.8.2016 requesting him to grant the Special Grade scale of pay with effect from 10.7.2016. The said representation also has been forwarded by the Assistant Director of Rural Development (Audit) to the District Collector, (Development Section), Salem in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Na.Ka.No.249/2016/A1 during August, 2016 and the same has not been considered. Therefore, a direction be issued.

2. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents sought four weeks time to consider the grievance of the petitioner.

3. In view of the above, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, on the basis of the recommendation made by the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.249/2016/A1 during August, 2016, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
