The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 318(4) of BNS and 76(1) of the Chit Funds Act, (420 IPC 76(1) Chit Funds Act, in Crime No.9 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. No representation for the petitioner.

3. Counter filed by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police opposing the anticipatory bail petition. It is a case of cheating in respect of collecting Deepavali chits from 40 customers to tune of Rs.37,50,000/-. It is reported that A1 and A2 are husband and wife, the petitioner is A2 and A1 had committed suicide.

4. In any event, considering the gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to entertain the anticipatory bail petition stands dismissed. 21.08.2025 dna 2/4
