The petitioner filed an application seeking renewal of license for the sale of firecrackers. The said application dated 10.11.2014 is yet to be disposed of, though nearly one year has lapsed. Hence, seeking to expedite the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Considering the pendency of the application dated 10.11.2014, without going into merits of the matter, a direction is issued to the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
