ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 8.12.2025 and to effect mutation of revenue records in the names of the petitioner and the other legal heirs of Late V.K.Veerapandian in respect of the land admeasuring 1 acre in Survey No. 2/2 of Jakkanarai Village, Kotagiri Taluk, Nilgiris District within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a representation dated 08.12.2025 to the 1st respondent seeking to effect mutation of revenue records in the names of the petitioner and the other legal heirs of Late V.K.Veerapandian in respect of the land admeasuring 1 acre in Survey No. 2/2 of Jakkanarai Village, Kotagiri Taluk, Nilgiris District.

However, the said representation was not considered by the 1st respondent. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government's Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025 will be considered and disposed of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government's Counsel appearing for the respondents. 5.Considering the submission made by both parties and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 5th respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.

7.Post the matter under the caption "For Reporting Compliance" on 12.08.2026.
