Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1-3 to take action against the petitioner's village Kattapanchayattu/Kangaroo Court, held on 14.01.2022 consisting the respondents 4 to 13 and others for imposing village Ex-communication, banishment and to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and her family based on her representation dated 22.03.2023.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents 1-3 to take appropriate action against the respondents 4 to 13 and others for imposing village excommunication, banishment as against the petitioner and his family members. 2.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents police submitted that on receipt of the complaint from the petitioner, the third respondent conducted detailed enquiry and closed

the same on the ground that there is no excommunication of the petitioner and his family members. The respondents 4 to 13 were also appeared before the third respondent and undertook that they will not excommunicate the petitioner and his family members. 3.

Recording the above submissions, the Writ Petition stands closed. In future, if any illegality committed by the respondents 4 to 13, the third respondent is directed to take appropriate action as against them on merits and in accordance with law.
