Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's mother Nirmal W/o.C.P.Udayar, aged about 54 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's mother Nirmal w/o.C.P.Udayar, aged about 54 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her mother Nirmala went to temple on 14.04.2021 and thereafter, her whereabouts are not known. The petitioner's further grievance is that the police are not taking steps to secure her mother.

3. On instructions, learned Government Advocate [crl.side] submits that, on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Otteri P.S.Crime No.169 of 2021 for "woman missing" was registered and investigation is in progress.

4. In view of the above, we direct the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vandalur, to monitor the investigation in Otteri P.S.Crime No.169 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate II, Chengalpattu, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders. With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of.
