ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b) and 506(i) IPC in Crime No.1676 of 2017.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and also criminally intimidated him.

3. Having regard to the nature of allegations against the petitioner and the submissions that another complaint lodged against the petitioner was closed and as it is not stated that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner subject to the following conditions:- (i) Petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of his arrest or appearance before the learned XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Allikulam, Chennai, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties, each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the said Magistrate.

(ii) The petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m for a period of two weeks and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation.
