..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2025 and thereby direct the respondents to issue patta in the name of petitioner in respect of the village property in Survey No.81/1 Bhel Anna Nagar, Seekarajapuram Panchayat and Post, Ranipet District to an extend of 0.02.0 (5cent).

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2025.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 17.03.2025 before the respondents, seeking issuance of patta on her favour in respect of the subject property in Survey No.81/1 Bhel Anna Nagar, Seekarajapuram Panchayat and Post, Ranipet District to an extent of 0.02.0 (5cent). She is possession of the said property for the past thirty years and the Village Administrative Officer, Seekarajapuram has also issued a possession certificate on her favour. However, till date, the representation for issuance of patta was not considered by the respondents. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government's Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioner has not filed any document to establish her title over the property. Hence, they are not in a position to consider the representation. In the event this Court passes any order, the same will be complied with.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. There is no dispute with regard to the possession of the property, since the petitioner is in possession of the said property for the past thirty years. Moreover, she has no other land, except the subject property. Therefore, the

petitioner is entitled to patta based on her possession on the subject property. Therefore, this Court directs the third respondent to issue patta to the petitioner, after conducting necessary survey on the subject property, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.

7. List the case on 15.07.2026 under the caption "For Reporting Complaince".
