Heard Mr.M.Mohamed Hasain, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate for first to third respondents and Ms.P.Shanthi, learned counsel for fourth respondent. With the consent of either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
2.The petitioner seeks for direction upon the respondents to consider the representation for grant of patta in respect of the land. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. Admittedly, the land is classified as 'Thoppu Maniam', which is a Government land, therefore, the Government cannot be compelled to issue patta by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus, hence the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted and hence the Writ Petition is dismissed.
