PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on the application of the petitioner dated 10.7.2014 for the issuance of community certificate to the petitioner and his children viz. (1) V.Manoharan; (2) V.Guru; and (3) V.Latha, based upon the community certificate already issued to the petitioner's relative that they belong to Kattunayakan (ST) community. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Doraisamy for Mr.V.Elangovan For Respondent : Mr.P.Chinnadurai, GA ORDER OF THE COURT WAS MADE BY V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN,J The short prayer, with which, the petitioner has come up with the above writ petition, is to direct the respondent to consider and pass orders on his application for the grant of community certificate to himself and his three children.
2. Heard Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.P. Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent.
3. The petitioner has made an application on 10.7.2014 to the respondent seeking the issue of a community certificate for himself as well as his two sons and a daughter. He has also enclosed certain documents along with his application to prove that his relatives are recognized as belonging to Kattunayakan community. The limited prayer made by the petitioner is only to direct the respondent to consider his application and pass orders.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to hold an enquiry on the application of the petitioner, consider all documents and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
