Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 4th respondent to process the application for Patta filed by the petitioner dated 31.08.2024 and grant Patta in favour of the Petitioner for the land in Survey Nos.95/2A, 95/2B, 95/3A and New S.F.No.95/3A to an extent of 1034 sq. ft. in ward F block -12, TS No.14/2 of Ayyamperumal Patti Village, Salem District.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of a writ of mandamus directing the fourth respondent to process the application submitted by the petitioner on 31.08.2024 wherein, the petitioner is seeking for grant of patta in his name with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for R1, R2 and R4 and the learned Standing Counsel for R3.

3. The issue involved in the present case is squarely covered by 2/4

the earlier order of this Court dated 31.07.2024 in W.P.No.21821 of 2024 etc., batch. This Court has made it clear that the Sub-Registrar should not insist for 'No Objection Certificate' from the Housing Board.

4. In view of the above, it is not necessary for the petitioner to produce any 'No Objection Certificate'. Accordingly, the 4th respondent is directed to deal with the application filed by the petitioner on 31.08.2024 and pass necessary orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ Petition is disposed of in the above terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
